Generali Hong Kong and ZA Bank embarks on bancassurance partnership

The partnership leverages both of the two firms' strengths.

Generali Hong Kong and virtual bank ZA Bank have announced that they have come together to embark on a bancassurance partnership.

Under the partnership, Generali will be able to offer insurance products through the ZA Bank App. The collaboration will leverage ZA Bank’s digital technology whilst Generali will offer its expertise as an insurance to assist customers in accessing insurance products, scheduling meetings with insurance advisors, settling payments, and reviewing policies.

The first phase of launch comprises five life products covering: critical illness, savings, retirement, Qualifying Deferred Annuity Policy, and life protection with return of premium.

“insurer-virtual bank partnership allows Generali to combine our legacy of knowledge with ZA's expertise in fintech and their entrepreneurial spirit to devise unique and innovative offerings that empower customers. With this shared vision, we are confident of capturing, unleashing and creating new possibilities that benefit the broader community,” said Davide Glavina, CEO of Generali Hong Kong.
