Great Eastern boosts digital tools amidst COVID-19 pandemic

Authorisation of policy purchases will be simplified.

Great Eastern Life Singapore is enhancing its digital capabilities to provide better service to clients amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release.

The insurer said that it will be introducing additional tools in the coming months that will allow representatives and customers to co-browse interactive screens on mobile devices and simplify authorisation of policy purchases.

Since February, the insurer has allowed Singapore-based clients to apply for insurance policies through digital platforms. Other existing services include the ability to access policy information and perform select transactions on Great Eastern’s E-Connect web portal, as well as bills pre-authorisation and outpatient video medical consultations for Integrated Shield Plan policyholders.
