Howden India appoints Amit Agarwal as CEO
Howden India said it desires to become a leading broker in one of the world's fastest-growing insurance markets by 2026.
Howden, the global insurance group, has appointed Amit Agarwal as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Howden India.
Starting 1 August, he will succeed Praveen Vashista, who will now serve as Chairman.
Following the appointment, Howden India said it desires to become a leading broker in one of the world's fastest-growing insurance markets by 2026.
Under Agarwal's leadership, Howden India will focus on innovation, expanding its product offerings, and leveraging local expertise to benefit its clients.

Agarwal brings extensive experience and expertise in insurance brokerage, reflecting Howden's commitment to providing exceptional client solutions and strengthening its position in the Indian market.
He joined Howden India in 2019 as a Managing Director, leading the Liability & Specialty Risks practice.
Previously, Agarwal held significant roles in Mumbai, including Director at JLT's Financial Lines and Credit & Political Risk team, and positions at Marsh and UIB.
