India’s life insurance sector sinks 12.7% 11M’23

Policies and schemes were tallied at 15.9 billion

In the eleven months to November, India’s life insurance industry registered Rs211,690.65 crore in premiums, down 12.65%, data from India's Life Insurance Council showed.

Year-to-date, the number of policies and schemes recorded were 15.9 billion.

For the month alone, the sector saw Rs26,494.83 crore worth of premiums, with policies and schemes reaching 2.04 billion.
