Lioner expands beyond Asia with Zurich office
The Swiss base will support estate planning, wealth preservation and family governance.
Lioner International Group Ltd. has launched a new office in Zurich, marking its first expansion outside Asia as the firm reaches its fifth anniversary.
The wealth, trust, and family office consortium aims to use the Swiss base to assist high-net-worth families with cross-border estate planning, wealth preservation, and family governance.
Tony Chan, Founder of Lioner, stated that the expansion into Switzerland aligns with the firm's strategy to provide protection, legacy, and succession planning within a major financial hub.
To lead the new office, Lioner has appointed Giorgio Jeni as Partner and Head of Switzerland.
Jeni has 27 years of experience in the high-net-worth life insurance and wealth management sectors, having previously held senior positions at HSBC, UBS, Julius Baer, and Credit Suisse.
He noted that the Zurich office will work closely with Swiss private banks, family offices, and wealth managers to serve internationally mobile clients, particularly those from Asia.
The firm has also appointed Yaru Gao as Senior Consultant and Maurice Ho as Consultant to support the Swiss operation, both reporting to Jeni.
Gao brings 16 years of banking experience from China Construction Bank across Zurich, Hong Kong, and mainland China.
Ho has over 20 years of experience specialising in insurance solutions and compliance within Hong Kong, Greater China, and international markets.
With this launch, Lioner now operates offices across Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, and Switzerland.
