
Manulife appoints new Chief Actuary
Hung Ko will also take on an expanded role following Stephanie Fadous’ appointment.
Manulife has appointed Stephanie Fadous as Chief Actuary, effective 9 May.
She will succeed Steve Finch, who was recently named President and CEO of Manulife Asia.
Fadous will join the company’s Executive Leadership Team and report to incoming President and CEO Phil Witherington.
Fadous currently serves as Manulife’s Global Treasurer and Head of Capital Management, where she has led the company’s global funding programs and managed key relationships with rating agencies and banks.
She previously directed Manulife’s global implementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, and has held roles across Global Finance, Group Actuarial, Corporate Development, and Asset Liability Management.
She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
Hung Ko, currently Manulife’s Global Head of Investor Relations, will take on an expanded role as Global Head of Treasury and Investor Relations following Fadous’ appointment.
Ko has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. He holds an MBA from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Public Accountant (Illinois).
