Manulife HK unveils Bright Care PRO, first late-stage cancer treatment benefit
The plan also includes extra financial support for overseas or non-conventional late-stage cancer treatments.
Manulife Hong Kong has launched Manulife Bright Care PRO, a new critical illness plan designed to offer extensive coverage for up to 123 critical illnesses and diseases until the age of 100.
The plan also includes extra financial support for overseas or non-conventional late-stage cancer treatments, all at an affordable premium.
This innovative plan addresses diverse critical illness needs by introducing a first-in-market benefit for late-stage cancer treatment and coverage for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and protection against other juvenile diseases.
It provides multiple coverage for cancer, heart attack (myocardial infarction), and stroke, which are known to have a high recurrence risk.
Additionally, the plan offers two tiers of protection for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stays, extended protection against non-designated critical illnesses and injuries, as well as the added benefits of a Parental Compassionate Premium Waiver and a level, guaranteed premium.

The late-stage cancer treatment benefits offer increased chances of recovery for patients.
This first-in-market benefit provides additional financial support for overseas treatments, particularly when such treatments are unavailable locally or involve long waiting times.
Furthermore, the plan extends its support to cover off-label or clinical trial cancer drug treatments, as recommended by doctors when conventional options prove ineffective or have intolerable side effects.
The aim is to offer a vital financial safety net for individuals battling late-stage cancer, enabling them to explore life-saving treatment options abroad or through innovative drug therapies not readily available.
