Markel reels in new executive to boost APAC operations

He previously worked at Zurich Insurance in London and Singapore.

Markel appointed Jack Taylor as executive of Distribution Strategies and Business Development for the Asia-Pacific region.  

Based in Singapore, Taylor will oversee broker engagement across the region to expand its operations, underwriting, and distribution capabilities.

Taylor will collaborate with Markel’s regional leaders, underwriters, and international business development teams to strengthen the company's presence in the market.  

Dan Martin, managing director of Distribution Strategy and Business Development at Markel International, noted that Taylor’s extensive experience in specialty insurance and broker engagement will be instrumental in Markel’s growth in the region.  

Taylor previously worked at Zurich Insurance in London and Singapore.
