Marsh completes acquisition of Honan Insurance

Josh Roach will be the merged entity’s president in January.

Global insurance broker and risk advisor, Marsh, has successfully finalized its acquisition of Honan Insurance Group, a specialist broker in corporate risk, employee benefits, and strata and real estate insurance. 

The acquisition, announced in August, aims to strengthen Marsh's position in the corporate market segments in the Asia Pacific region, providing significant benefits to clients of both firms.

Andrew Fluitsma, former CEO of Honan, now serves as Marsh’s Pacific Head of Corporate and Commercial. The integration of Marsh and Honan colleagues in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia has commenced, with co-location expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2024. 

Josh Roach, set to become President of Marsh Pacific in January, expressed excitement about merging the strengths of the two businesses to maximise opportunities for clients, colleagues, and communities.
