Nepal Insurance Authority begins monthly KPI publication
The authority said it aims to support transparency, accountability, and evidence-based policymaking.
The Nepal Insurance Authority has begun publishing a monthly statistical report titled Insurance Reflection, providing regular analysis of key performance indicators in the country’s insurance sector, reported Insurance Khabar.
The new monthly edition features data on the number of policies issued, insurance fee collections, claim payments, claim settlement ratios, insurer expenses, branch office distribution, staffing levels, investment statements, total insurance coverage, and solvency ratios.
Chairman Sharad Ojha said the initiative aims to support transparency, accountability, and evidence-based policymaking.
He noted that the analytical data would serve insurers, policymakers, researchers, and the general public by offering insight into sectoral progress, challenges, and regulatory needs.
The publication also includes updates on the Nepal Insurance Authority's activities as of mid-March in the current fiscal year.
These include regulatory inspections, registration and resolution of claim complaints, anti-money laundering efforts, and approvals of new insurance products.
