OONA Insurance announces new President and CEO

The new appointee will take over OONA CEO Jean Israel.

OONA Insular Insurance Corporation (OONA Insurance), formerly Mapfre Insurance, named Ramon Zandueta as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

He succeeds Jean Israel and begins his new position on 1 May.

Presently, Zandueta is the managing director and chairman of the board of Marsh Philippines.

The Southeast Asia insurance firm deemed Zandueta ideal due to his “illustrious career” in the insurance industry for more than four decades.

“We are delighted to have on board industry veteran Ramon Zandueta as we roll out our plans for OONA Insurance in the Philippines,” said OONA Group CEO Abhishek Bhatia.
