Prudential names new regional CEO for China 

Angel Ng has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Prudential announced that Lilian Ng, managing director of the Strategic Business Group, will retire at the end of this year, concluding a 30-year tenure with the company. 

Angel Ng, a former senior leader at Citi, will take over as Regional chief executive officer (CEO) for Greater China, Customer and Wealth. 

Starting 1 October, A. Ng will also join Prudential’s Group Executive Committee, reporting to CEO Anil Wadhwani and based in Hong Kong.

A. Ng previously served as Chief Executive of Insurance, Asia, overseeing life insurance operations and performance across the region. 

A. Ng brings 25 years of experience in financial services, most recently leading Citi’s Asia North & Australia Cluster.

She has held key roles including head of Asia for Citi Global Wealth and CEO of Citi Hong Kong and Macau.

L. Ng will remain in her current role until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition and will continue as an advisor to the CEO until June 2025.
