Prudential’s John Cai to leave regional CEO role

Regional CEO Naveen Tahilyani will expand his remit.

Prudential plc has announced that Regional CEO John Cai will leave the company on 31 October 2025 for personal reasons. 

The insurer’s Group CEO, Anil Wadhwani, thanked Cai for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavours.

To ensure a smooth transition, Prudential has restructured its regional leadership. 

Regional CEO Naveen Tahilyani will expand his remit to include Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, in addition to his existing oversight of India and Africa. 

He will also take on functional leadership for Agency and Health.

During his tenure in India, he led a more than tenfold expansion of the agency force.

Meanwhile, Dennis Tan, Regional CEO for Singapore, Thailand and Partnership Distribution, will take on additional responsibility for Vietnam and the Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar cluster.
