QBE Asia names CEO for new role

He is currently CEO of QBE Singapore.

QBE Asia named Ronak Shah as Chief Executive Officer of Wholesale Markets Asia, a newly created role aimed at expanding the company’s facultative reinsurance business across the region. 

His appointment is effective 1 March and he will lead QBE’s wholesale reinsurance strategy, working with in-house specialists and external partners to strengthen the company’s presence in key markets, including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and mainland China.  

Currently CEO of QBE Singapore, he will retain that role until a successor is appointed.

Based in Singapore, Shah will oversee QBE’s Asia wholesale strategy, leveraging the company’s underwriting expertise and global network. 

He will continue reporting to Rob Kosova, CEO Asia, and will remain a member of the QBE Asia Executive Committee.
