QBE names Carles Tondo as Asia head of property

Tondo was head of property and technical lines from another insurer.

QBE Asia has appointed Carles Tondo as head of property for Asia.

Tondo is tasked with driving the growth of QBE Asia’s property business, overseeing property-related product strategy, pricing, and portfolio management. He will also ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, QBE said in a press release on 23 February 2026.

Tondo is tasked with strengthening client relationships, as well as managing regional performance for designated business lines.

Tondo reports to Stephen Geisler, CEO of South Asia. He is based in Singapore.

He brings over 17 years of experience working in the insurance industry. He was most recently head of property and technical lines for Singapore at another insurer, QBE said.
