Singapore Insurance Institute elects new council members

Jeslyn Tan will serve her third term as president.

The Singapore Insurance Institute (SII) has announced the appointment of its new council members for the 2022 to 2023 term following their election at the SII 48th Annual General Meeting.

Taking the helm as president for the third time is Jeslyn Tan of Crawford & Company. FM Global’s Verma Sunny will serve as vice president. Wina Marita of Matson Driscoll & Damico will assume the position of treasure.

Council members will Summer Montague of DAC Beachcroft, Tay Si Wei of Berkley Re Asia, Jeremy Dam of Chubb Asia Pacific, and Benjamin Ang of GoalsMapper. Suang Wijaya of Eugene Thuraisingnam LLP was appointed as the co-opted council member.

"To the newly elected Council, congratulations and thank you for volunteering your time and resources for the Institute and promoting professionalism in the industry. After a hiatus of two years, we look forward to organising more in-person events for our members to 'Inspire, Educate and Connect',” Jeslyn Tan, SII president said.

Established in 1949, SII is a members' institute for professionals in insurance and financial services. Today, SII remains the only non-trade insurance institute in Singapore and continues the tradition of bringing insurance professionals together and enhancing their level of professionalism in the industry.
