Sun Life Malaysia Takaful names new chief

He previously held the role of Chief Operations Officer at Sun Life.

Sun Life has announced the appointment of Jeffry Azmi Mohd Shah as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad (SLMT).

Jeffry brings with him over 30 years of experience in the life insurance and takaful industry. He joined Sun Life Malaysia in 2016 as the Head of Underwriting. He was subsequently promoted to Head of Life Operations in 2017 and most recently, as the Chief Operations Officer, a role where he led various transformative initiatives focusing on operational, underwriting, and claims.

Prior to joining Sun Life Malaysia, Jeffry held various leadership roles with leading life insurance companies such as Uni.Asia Life Assurance, Mayban Life Assurance, and Allianz Life Assurance.
