
Taiwan life insurers’ foreign-currency policy sales rise 11% in January
Sales of investment-linked insurance products surged by 90% YoY.
Premium revenues from new foreign-currency denominated policies sold by Taiwan’s life insurance sector reached NT$32.343b in January 2025, marking an 11% increase from NT$29.240b year-on-year (YoY), according to the Insurance Bureau.
Sales of investment-linked insurance products surged by 90% YoY to NT$5.111b, accounting for approximately 16% of the total.
Traditional insurance products continued to dominate the segment, generating NT$27.232b in premium revenue, up 3% YoY.
