Tata AIA launches index funds on India’s top 500 firms

Both funds are open for subscription at ₹10 per unit until 22 September.

Tata AIA Life Insurance has launched two funds that invest in India’s top-performing companies whilst offering life insurance protection.

The Tata AIA Sector Leaders Index Fund and Sector Leaders Index Pension Fund track the BSE India Sector Leaders Customised Index, which includes up to three of the largest firms in each sector from the top 500 list.

Both funds are open for subscription at $0.11 (₹10) per unit until 22 September. Charges will be exempt from GST once the new tax rule takes effect on the same day.

The Sector Leaders Index Fund is available under Tata AIA’s unit-linked plans, whilst the pension fund is offered through its retirement solutions.

Tata AIA reported total premium income of $3.46b (₹31,484 crore) in FY 2025, up 23% from the previous year, and remains amongst the top three private insurers in new business premiums.
