Zurich Japan, Loyalty Marketing expands into digital offerings

Both entities have been partnering since 2013.

Zurich Insurance Japan General Insurance (Zurich) has teamed up with Loyalty Marketing, a Tokyo-based data marketing company, to offer digital insurance through Ponta.

Ponta is one of Japan's loyalty programmes with over 117 million members. 

Since 2013, Zurich and Loyalty Marketing have provided insurance products to Ponta members via direct mail. Now, they're expanding their offerings to cater to Ponta's customer base by offering insurance digitally through the Zurich Edge platform.

Ponta members will have access to two personal accident protection options: "Ponta Free Gift Insurance" for coverage against injuries like traffic accidents, and "Ponta Comprehensive Protection Plan" for enhanced coverage, including points rewards.
