Zurich Malaysia launches EV insurance with charger cover

Zurich has also partnered with Gentari Green Mobility to boost EV charging visibility.

Zurich Malaysia has launched Z-Driver EV Protect, an insurance and takaful add-on for electric vehicle (EV) owners.

For $28.5 (RM120), it covers EV batteries, home wall chargers, portable charging accessories, and liability whilst charging.

Benefits include up to $3,565 (RM15,000) for wall chargers, $11,883 (RM50,000) for liability, $475 (RM2,000) for cables, and $4,753 (RM20,000) in allowances for incidents at public charging stations. Optional enhanced perils cover is also available.

Zurich has also partnered with Gentari Green Mobility to boost EV charging visibility nationwide, extending its brand presence to 13 high-traffic charging stations, including Suria KLCC, KLIA2, and The Gardens Mall.

The collaboration aims to ease EV adoption by supporting reliable charging infrastructure.
