Zurich, ShopeePay launch Shariah-compliant travel takaful plan

The takaful plan provides up to RM300,000.

Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad and ShopeePay partnered to launch Zurich Travel Takaful, a Shariah-compliant travel protection plan now available through the ShopeePay and Shopee apps.

Targeting short-term and frequent travellers, the plan offers both single-trip and annual coverage starting at $0.69 (RM3) per day for domestic travel and $3.69 (RM15.99) per day for international travel. 

The takaful plan provides up to $69,300 (RM300,000) in coverage for medical and personal accident-related incidents, as well as additional protections for travel delays, cancellations, curtailment, baggage delay, personal effects, and travel documents.

Users will also have access to Zurich’s 24-hour travel assistance hotline.
