Etiqa Singapore rolls out pet insurance offering S$15,000 surgery cover
The plan covers congenital and hereditary diseases, accidents, and surgeries.
Etiqa Insurance Singapore has launched a new pet insurance to provide support to pet owners.
The Pawfect Plan insures up to S$15,000 for surgical illness cover and S$3,500 for non-surgical cover. This plan encompasses congenital and hereditary diseases, surgical treatments, accidental injury claims, and more.
It also offers a no claims discount of up to 20%; a multi-pet discount of up to 10%; and an additional S$500 insured for final expenses benefit (based on highest plan).
Singapore’s pet population has boomed in recent years. There are now 114,000 pet dogs, and around 94,000 pet cats in the country as of 2023– with the dog population rising 3% and the cat pet population jumping 10%.
Correspondingly, the costs associated with veterinary services, illnesses, and health conditions have created a burgeoning protection gap, demanding comprehensive solutions for pet owners, Etiqa Insurance said.
The new comprehensive plan includes accidental and illness-related medical expenses, congenital and hereditary conditions, alongside no-claim discounts, providing pet owners with protection in times of unexpected medical circumstances.
Etiqa’s Pet Insurance is accessible on Tiq by Etiqa, the digital insurance channel provided by Etiqa Insurance Singapore.
