Aetna International launches health clinic in Thailand

The family clinic, located in Nichada district, aims to provide community healthcare services.

Healthcare benefits provider Aetna International has opened its first health clinic in the expat district of Nichada Thani, Thailand, according to a press release.

Open to everyone, the Aetna Family Clinic aims to provide community healthcare services to Nichada’s 2000-resident estate as well as to surrounding areas.

The clinic has primary care doctors and can connect patients with suitable medical facilities for more specialised healthcare needs. It also offers consultations with visiting specialists in pediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, and physical therapy.

“By building our capabilities to provide an integrated service that takes care of our members’ health, we’ll be able to provide a differentiated experience that we believe will lead to improved patient outcomes,” said Aetna International managing director for Asia Pacific Derek Goldberg. “This is a unique proposition that we are confident will serve our members’ health well and accelerate our growth not just in Thailand, but also elsewhere in the region.”
