Great Eastern, Doctor Anywhere pilot protection plan for Singapore's gig economy

Premiums start for as low as S$0.73 a day.

Great Eastern and Doctor Anywhere have launched GREAT Comprehensive Care for self-employed, freelancers and gig economy workers in Singapore, according to an announcement.

GREAT Comprehensive Care is an annual renewable plan and the first in-market to offer hospitalisation income, personal accident coverage and outpatient care in a single policy. The two plan types, Basic and Deluxe, caters to individual budget and desired coverage, with premiums starting as low as S$0.73 a day or around S$22 a month.

Its outpatient healthcare coverage provides for up to 12 Doctor Anywhere video consultations and can be shared amongst family members. Any unused video consultations can be converted to Great Eastern’s UPGREAT all-in-one rewards points.

No underwriting is required and application is done through its website. The plan is also available on Doctor Anywhere’s health and wellness platform.
