Aon announces new head of Greater China

Lu will oversee the integration of Aon's Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities.

Aon has unveiled Qin Lu as its new head of Greater China, which includes China, Hong Kong, and Macau, effective last 1 August.

Lu will remain a member of the Aon Asia Pacific (APAC) Executive Committee.

Aon recently established a new sub-region called Greater China within the APAC region to better align with clients and industry dynamics. 

As the head of Greater China, Lu will oversee the integration of Aon's Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities.

His responsibilities also extend to collaborating with the regional team to provide clients with Aon's comprehensive solutions and expertise. Lu will maintain his leadership position in Reinsurance Solutions for the sub-region alongside his role as head of Greater China.

Prior to assuming his current position, Lu held the roles of co-head of China and Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance Solutions, Greater China at Aon. 

His professional background also includes a significant tenure at Swiss Re, where he spent 19 years. During his time at Swiss Re, he held diverse leadership and strategic positions across Asia. 

Notably, he served as the president of Swiss Re's China business, playing a pivotal role in its operations and growth.
