Howden Asia reels in new chief client officer

Mike Baker will collaborate with Howden’s multinational client practice.

Insurance group Howden has appointed Mike Baker as Chief Client Officer for Asia. 

Based in Singapore and reporting to Goh Chye Huat, CEO of Howden Asia, Baker will focus on enhancing Howden's large client offerings in the region, with an emphasis on servicing multinational companies and organisations with complex risk needs across the region. 

Baker, with a career starting in 1985, brings extensive international experience as both an underwriter and broker, having worked in London, Sydney, and Singapore.

Formerly the strategic account manager, Asia, at Aon, he also held various senior roles at Willis Towers Watson (WTW) for nine years. 

In his new role, Baker will collaborate with Howden’s multinational client practice to provide access to the group's network, specialisms, reinsurance, and analytical capabilities, benefiting both Asian and multinational clients. His appointment is effective immediately.
