QBE seen to hold strong capital levels, stable outlook
The stable outlook reflects confidence in QBE’s presence in global commercial lines.
QBE Insurance Group is expected to maintain strong capital levels and solid underwriting results, according to AM Best’s latest outlook.
The group’s risk-adjusted capitalisation is projected to stay at the “very strong” level, supported by conservative investments, a sound reinsurance programme, and reduced financial leverage.
QBE posted a 90.2% net/net combined ratio in 2024, a two-point improvement from 2023. AM Best cited continued underwriting discipline and a diversified earnings base as key to the group’s strong operating outlook.
The stable outlook reflects confidence in QBE’s balance sheet and performance, along with its established presence in global commercial lines.
