Peak Re maintains strong capital with disciplined underwriting in Asia
AM Best expects Peak Re to sustain its growth in life and structured reinsurance.
Peak Reinsurance Company Limited (Peak Re) is expected to maintain strong capitalisation and steady earnings in the short to medium term, supported by disciplined underwriting, prudent investments and a diversified portfolio, AM Best said.
Peak Re’s capital and surplus grew 11.7% in 2024 to $1.43b, whilst net profit reached $187m. The company remained profitable in the first half of 2025 and improved its non-life combined ratio on better claims experience.
AM Best expects Peak Re to sustain its growth in life and structured reinsurance across Asia-Pacific and maintain robust capital levels and profitability.
