AIA Vietnam’s profit dwindles in H1 2024

Revenues from insurance activities fell by 10.4%.

AIA’s life insurance business in Vietnam saw its first half (H1 2024) net profit contract 68% year-on-year (YoY) to $11.4m, reported the Investor VAFIE.

Likewise, its revenues from insurance activity also dipped 10.4% YoY to $275.5m. However, revenue from financial activities jumped 14.3% YoY to $73.1m.

By the end of the period, cash-in-hand stood at $37,180 (up by 57.7% YoY), whilst bank deposits garnered $48.2m (down 6.7% YoY).
