Allianz Life Malaysia adds two new cover for Allianz Care@Home

These are in addition to the coverage for dengue and COVID-19.

Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Life Malaysia) has added cellulitis and gastroenteritis in its coverage under Allianz Care@Home, in partnership with Speedoc.

These are in addition to the coverage for dengue and COVID-19 which Allianz Care@Home has been providing for Allianz Life’s Individual Hospitalisation and  Surgical (H&S) customers since its launch in October last year.

Allianz Care@Home is a first-in-class and exclusive home monitoring medical service offered by Allianz Life Malaysia. The exclusive home monitoring service provided by Speedoc for the four mentioned illnesses includes home visits by doctors and nurses, medical treatment, therapy or support, a 24/7 helpline, provide referral letters/summary notes to medical service centres, assistance with hospital admission, and ambulance arrangements.

Data released by the Health Ministry’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre showed that dengue cases usually start increasing in May and would spike after the monsoon during July and August.

“With the anticipated spike in dengue cases, Allianz Care@Home provides our customers with the reassurance and peace of mind by having the option to receive the best professional medical care in the comfort of home instead of having to wait for admission in a hospital. Not just that, patients diagnosed with cellulitis and gastroenteritis can also benefit from the professional home medical care of Allianz Care@Home by getting the medical assistance at home as most cases can be managed in an outpatient setting,” Allianz Life CEO, Charles Ong, said.

Allianz Care@Home is currently available in Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh, Negeri Sembilan,
Melaka and Johor, with the service coverage to be expanded to other states in the near future.
