Bloomberg supports insurers with HKIA sustainable bond dataset

It helps insurers comply with sustainable investment requirements.

Bloomberg has introduced a new data field showing whether a green bond meets the Hong Kong Insurance Authority’s (HKIA) valuation and capital guidelines, aimed at helping insurers comply with sustainable investment requirements.

The “HKIA_Sustainable_Indicator” field, launched during Hong Kong Green Week, classifies green bonds that qualify under HKIA’s supervisory guidance on the treatment of green assets under the Risk-based Capital Regime.

Available on Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise Data services, the field supports portfolio construction, regulatory reporting, and risk analysis by using Bloomberg’s sustainable debt dataset.
