Blue offers group medical insurance for SMEs

Premium starts at HK$200 per employee annually.

Hong Kong digital life insurer Blue has launched WeMedi Group Medical Protector, a group medical insurance plan designed to provide SMEs an affordable option of medical care for employees.

Starting at HK$200 per employee annually, WeMedi Group Medical Protector is available to companies with a minimum of three employees, and no medical underwriting is required. The plan offers two levels of benefits – Entry and Standard, to give businesses the choice of selecting the plan best-suited to meet their employees’ needs. 

Members of the Standard Plan can enjoy an additional Hospital Cash Benefit, where insured employees admitted into a private or public hospital can receive a daily cash amount of HK$500, covering a maximum of 182 days per policy year, to reduce their financial burdens during hospitalisation.

“By launching this plan, Blue hopes to relieve stress from any SMEs who are struggling to provide affordable healthcare for their employees, and enhance the quality of their physical and mental wellness especially during these unprecedented times,” Blue CEO and executive director Charles Hung said.
