Canopius bolsters APAC team with two Australian members
The insurer aims to prioritise offerings in the Australian market.
Specialty (re)insurer Canopius has appointed Lucy Lumb as Underwriter for Property Coverholder and Delegated Authority, and Trisha Urquhart as Underwriter for Accident & Health.
These appointments signify Canopius' ongoing expansion efforts in the APAC region, particularly their commitment to enhancing their offerings for the Australian market by reinforcing their local, on-ground capabilities.
Australia is a priority market for Canopius, and it plans to continue growing their Australian team by recruiting experienced industry leaders.
Lumb, originally from New Zealand, brings extensive experience to her role with over 19 years in the industry, holding various senior underwriting positions. She specialises in commercial underwriting and joins Canopius from her previous role as Senior Property Underwriter at DUAL New Zealand.
