CPFIS funds' annual returns rise to 14.71% in Q3
Its quarterly average return, however, fell to 2.54% from 3.11% in Q2.
The Central Provident Fund Investment Scheme (CPFIS) funds had an annual average return of 14.71% in Q3, an improvement from Q2’s record of 9.69%, the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) and Morningstar reported.
Its quarterly average return, however, fell to 2.54% in Q3 from 3.11% in Q2.
Unit trusts and ILPs had annual average returns of 15.29% and 14.33%, respectively. Quarterly average returns were 3.14% for unit trusts and 2.14% for ILPs.
Among CPFIS-included unit trusts, EAA Fund Thailand Equity, EAA Fund China Equity, and EAA Fund ASEAN Equity stood out.
EAA Fund Thailand Equity delivered an average quarterly return of 15.50%, while the latter stood at 13.69% and 12.10%.
On the flip side, the EAA Fund Islamic Global Equity experienced the largest drop with a rate of -4.68%.
On an annual average return basis, EAA Fund US Large-Cap Growth Equity (32.75%), EAA Fund Sector Equity Biotechnology (27.18%), and EAA Fund US Large-Cap Blend Equity (27.13%) dominated.
In the ILP sphere, EAA Insurance China Equity (12.58%), EAA Insurance Property - Indirect Global (9.87%), and EAA Insurance Global Equity Income (6.70%) were the top three in average quarterly returns.
The three worst-performing categories were EAA Insurance Sector Equity Technology, EAA Insurance Islamic Global Equity, and EAA Insurance Islamic Equity - Other.
Over 12 months, the best-performing ILP categories were EAA Insurance Sector Equity Technology and EAA Insurance India Equity, delivering returns of 34.44% and 28.33%, respectively.
