HKIA flags fraudulent activity
The mentioned company is neither an authorized insurer nor a licensed insurance intermediary under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41).
The Insurance Authority (IA) in Hong Kong issued a public alert regarding a fraudulent website with the domain name “https://weifangrbank.com/,” disseminating false or misleading information about a company named “Weifang Rural Commercial Bank Co. Ltd.”
The IA emphasises that the mentioned company is neither an authorized insurer nor a licensed insurance intermediary under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41). As such, it is not permitted to conduct insurance business or regulated activities in or from Hong Kong.

Individuals who have shared their personal information through the aforementioned website or engaged in any insurance transactions with the company, either through the website or otherwise, are urged to report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Force.
