Insurtech bolttech completes $180m series A funding, hits unicorn status

The investment will accelerate continued growth and its plans to consolidate its position in the United States. 

Asian insurtech firm, bolttech, has completed an oversubscribed $180 million series A round led by Activant, putting the insurtech at a valuation of more than $1 billion, according to an announcement.

The funding round was led by Activant Capital and was joined by Future Shape Principal Tony Fadell, Alpha Leonis Partners, Dowling Capital Partners, B. Riley Venture Capital, and Tarsadia Investments.

Bolttech works with partners such as insurers, telecommunication firms, retailers, banks, e-commerce, and digital destinations, to embed insurance into their customer journeys at the point of need.
