Manulife Asia unveils new Chief of Comms

Sabrina Cheung will manage the region’s strategic communications and media relations.

Manulife Asia has appointed Sabrina Cheung as its Chief Communications Officer, effective immediately. 

Based in Hong Kong, Cheung will be responsible for strategic communications, including media relations, thought leadership, social media, colleague communications, content, and events, supporting Manulife Asia across all its markets. 

She will report to both Anne Hammer, Manulife’s Global Chief Communications Officer, and Phil Witherington, Manulife Asia’s President and CEO.

Cheung comes to Manulife Asia from AXA, Asia and Africa, where she served as the Chief Brand and Communications Officer. 

During her tenure, she enhanced AXA's reputation through award-winning campaigns, media outreach, and community investment, with a strong focus on sustainability and employee well-being. 

She has previously held leadership roles in global and regional communications at Cigna International Markets, adidas Group, the Coca-Cola Company, and McCann WorldGroup.
