MSIG HK achieves highest claims settlement since 2020

Compared to the previous year, the claims settlement ratio was at 92.9%.

MSIG Insurance’s (Hong Kong) total claims in 2023 reached HK$312,824,598, garnering a settlement ratio of 93.2% – a three-year high. Compared to the previous year, the claims settlement ratio was at 92.9%.

These claims, honoured in Hong Kong and Macau, highlighted the top settlement ratios by class: Employee’s Compensation in Hong Kong at 99.63%, Domestic Helper at 97.75%, and Marine at 97.14%, MSIG Hong Kong’s fifth edition of the MSIG Claims Report revealed. Additionally, last year saw the lowest number (13) of complaints in three years.

Autumn 2023 brought multiple extreme weather events to Hong Kong, including a powerful typhoon and record-breaking rainfall, resulting in significant damage.

MSIG processed over 840 claims related to these events, maintaining clear communication and providing support during this challenging period.
