Prudential appoints new non-executive director and announces committee changes

Mark Saunders will become a non-executive director whilst Jeanette Wong will take over chair of the audit committee from David Law.

Prudential has announced the appointment of Mark Saunders as a Non-executive Director, effective from 1 April. 

Saunders, with 35 years in the insurance industry and significant experience in Asian markets, will also join the company's Audit and Risk Committees. 

His previous roles include Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at AIA Group Ltd and leadership positions at Tillinghast (now Willis Towers Watson).

In other changes, Jeanette Wong will take over as Chair of the Audit Committee from David Law, who is set to retire following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 23 May. Wong has been a member of this committee since May 2021. 

Additionally, Shriti Vadera, Chair of Prudential, will join the Remuneration Committee post-AGM.
