Resolution Re enters first flow reinsurance collaboration with Japanese insurer

It aims to increase capacity and better product competitiveness.

Resolution Life’s Bermudian platform, Resolution Re, partnered with its second Japanese insurer for a flow reinsurance agreement.

The agreement is “the first flow reinsurance arrangement for the cedent and aims to provide increased capacity and greater product competitiveness, enhancing the offering to the cedent’s fixed annuity policyholders”, Resolution Life said in a press announcement.

This aligns with their goal to meet the demands of the primary life industry in both Asia and the US. The company’s previous transaction in Japan was with Dai-Ichi Life back in 2022.
