Singtel mobile wallet Dash offers insurance to users

Dash PET is an insurance savings plan co-created with insurer partner Etiqa.

Singtel’s mobile wallet, Dash, is providing free insurance coverage and additional interest through Dash PET, the insurance savings plan co-created with insurer partner, Etiqa.

All Dash users aged 17 to 75 years old, including Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans, can sign up for Dash PET and receive up to 1.5% per annum returns for what they save and up to S$50k free Death & Total and Permanent Disability protection for the first policy year.

Standing for Protect, Earn, Transact, Dash PET was launched in February 2021 as a hybrid insurance product that offers insurance coverage and high returns on savings and flexibility to transact with the funds anytime.

Dash PET does not require any minimum balance and users can transfer their funds anytime between Dash PET policy and their Dash mobile wallet or bank account. Its integration within the Dash ecosystem allows users to save their idle funds in the Dash wallet by moving as little as S$1 to Dash PET.

Users can also activate three add-on protections plans from Major Cancer, Death, and Total and Permanent Disability as well as Accidental Death coverage. Users can also create a mix-and-match insurance portfolio and update their coverage based on what they need and can afford.

Premiums are paid daily from just S$0.022, while full sum assured coverage is valid for life’s unexpected events. Additionally, users also earn up to 0.75% p.a. additional interest on their Dash PET savings when they increase protection.

The policy is underwritten by Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd.
