Sompo appoints new chief claims officer

He transitioned into insurance from a senior associate role at Deloitte.

Sompo named Pablo Diago as Chief Claims Officer for its Commercial and Consumer Insurance operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Previously serving as head of Claims for Commercial Insurance in APAC, Diago will now oversee the regional Claims function for both business segments. His responsibilities include driving operational excellence, ensuring service governance across channels, and ad

vancing talent and capabilities within the team.

Based in Singapore, Diago will report to Kenneth Reilly, Chief Executive Officer of Insurance for APAC, and join the APAC executive team.

Diago brings over a decade of experience in the Asian insurance sector. A law graduate from University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain, he transitioned into insurance from a senior associate role at Deloitte.
