Zurich Kotak General Insurance has launched EV Protect, an add-on cover under its Car Secure insurance product, designed specifically for electric vehicles (EVs) in India, including Tesla models.
The new product offers coverage for key EV components such as the battery, motor, and charging equipment—including fixed charging units.
It also addresses risks such as power surges, short circuits, water damage, theft, and rodent attacks.
Personal accident coverage and mandatory third-party liability, in line with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, are also included.
