Manulife Hong Kong has appointed former Prudential Hong Kong head Candy Au Yeung as its new chief operations officer.

Au Yeung has over 20 years of solid experience in operations of life and medical insurance companies. As an industry veteran with extensive knowledge of insurance operations, she excels in cultivating change culture and driving future-ready business transformation.

In her former role in Prudential Hong Kong Limited, Au Yeung headed up the function of customer service, claims, medical network and policy administration. Before Prudential, she had served at a few other multinational insurers overseeing their operations, customer service and relations, as well as relationship management.

Au Yeung will be responsible for driving Manulife Hong Kong's operational strategies and leading its core insurance operations such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, office and agency support, high-net-worth operations and customer service functions. She will also oversee the company's efforts to further strengthen its strong service culture, ensuring a relentless pursuit of excellence for both its policyholders and distribution channels. Her other responsibilities include spearheading the company's operational efficiency through increased adoption of digital tools and continued streamlining of procedures and processes.
