Kairos reels in new director, Japan representative

He has both technical knowledge of satellites and the ability to interpret the data.

Kairos Risk Solutions has appointed David Chew as director of Satellite Solutions. Chew will be based in Tokyo and concurrently will be Kairos’ country representative for Japan.

“As a satellite system engineer and project manager with demonstrated track records, David is a rare talent in Asia. With a growing need in parametric insurance and carbon credits, we needed a Director that had both the technical knowledge of satellites as well as the ability to interpret the data. David fits the bill perfectly” Jeffrey Khoo, CEO of Kairos Risk Solutions said in a press release.

Chew will be working hand-in-hand with CTO Andre Siregar, COO Casmond Lim and Board Member Ng Teck Wee on a number of projects in the succeeding months.

Chew has over a decade of experience and has worked with Angkasa-X as the head of the satellite mission.
