Kwoon Chung, YAS launch HK’s first bus travel insurance
Accidental medical expenses are covered up to $650.
Kwoon Chung Bus has partnered with insurtech firm YAS to introduce Hong Kong's first embedded travel insurance for cross-border bus passengers.
This service, integrated into the "Hong Kong-Mainland Express" WeChat Mini Program, offers complimentary travel protection from YAS on customers' first trips when they purchase memberships or points.
Through this collaboration, Kwoon Chung and YAS aim to improve safety and convenience for millions of travellers crossing the Hong Kong-mainland China border each year.
YAS has partnered with Generali Hong Kong to implement this program, which provides accident medical coverage and protection for personal belongings.
For adults aged 18 to 79, accidental medical expenses are covered up to $650 (HK$5,000), while children under 18 and seniors over 80 have a coverage cap of $325 (HK$2,500).
Coverage for therapy, acupuncture, and dental expenses, if medically necessary, is available at $26 (HK$200) per day, subject to a deductible of $65 (HK$500) per incident.
In cases of accidental death or permanent disability, adults are covered up to $26,000 (HK$200,000), and children and seniors up to $13,000 (HK$100,000).
Personal belongings, such as documents, phones, and laptops, are covered up to $1,300 (HK$10,000) per trip, with a per-item limit of $130 (HK$1,000) and a $65 (HK$500) deductible.
To boost travel experience, Kwoon Chung and YAS are offering "Double Delight" shopping benefits to members in partnership with major retailers like Maxim's, Kee Wah Bakery, Catalo, and Hang Lung Properties.
These benefits provide discounts across over 50 retail outlets in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories, encouraging visitors to explore local shopping destinations.
