MS Reinsurance boosts board of directors with new appointments

Fukuda and Ellenbürger’s roles are effective 24 April.

MS Reinsurance announced the appointments of Yasuko Fukuda and Dr. Frank Ellenbürger to its Supervisory Board of Directors, effective 24 April. 

Fukuda will serve as the third shareholder representative director, and Ellenbürger will join as the fourth independent director and Chair of the Audit Committee. 

Their appointments are pending approval from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

Fukuda brings over 30 years of experience and has held multiple leadership roles at MS&AD Insurance Group, most recently serving as MSI’s Managing Executive Officer responsible for Accounting and International Supervisory.

Ellenbürger is a seasoned international leader with significant experience in the global insurance industry. At KPMG, he served as Global and European Head of Insurance, where he developed and executed the global growth strategy. 

He also has extensive expertise in technical accounting, corporate governance, and change management.
