Ping An’s green insurance premium hit $5.2b in 2023

Its green loan balance amounted to $20.4b.

Ping An Property and Casualty Insurance’s green insurance premium income amounted to $5.2b in 2023, providing green insurance coverage of over $6b, a 40% growth year-on-year from 2022.

Its green loan balance amounted to $20.4b, whilst its green investment of insurance funds amounted to $18b, all of which were covered by requirements for integrating ESG into investment management. 

Ping An focused on three key areas in green insurance development– expanding insurance coverage to support the green transition of socio-economic development, joining in catastrophe insurance pilots, and innovating carbon-inclusive projects.
