Swiss Re to roll out AI tool for better decision-making

The initiative is set for a broader rollout later in the year.

Swiss Re introduces an enhanced version of its Life & Health underwriting manual, Life Guide, now featuring Swiss Re Life Guide Scout.

This innovative tool, powered by Generative AI and Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, aims to streamline and improve the underwriting process for insurers.

Life & Health insurance underwriting is intricate, requiring accurate information to assess risk.

With the partnership, underwriters can swiftly generate answers to their queries using natural language, drawing from curated expert knowledge.

This could potentially accelerate decision-making, enhance precision, and promote knowledge transfer.

The pilot programme for Swiss Re Life Guide Scout is available in English, with plans for a broader rollout later this year. This innovation marks a significant step forward in leveraging AI to empower insurers in their decision-making processes.
